外交部長吳釗燮接受葡萄牙「大眾報」(Público)記者António Saraiva Lima視訊專訪，訪談內容於今天刊出，對於近期中國頻頻對台灣進行文攻武嚇，吳部長表示：「台灣會盡力維持台海現狀，也會持續提升自我防衛能力」。
吳部長於訪談中另外說明我國政府處理兩岸關係採取「和平、對等、民主、對話」的堅定立場，我方願意在平等的基礎上共同促成有意義的對話。吳部長也分享我國防疫經驗、台美關係進展及我國將於立陶宛設立代表處等議題，此篇新聞廣受葡萄牙各界關注。
MOFA Minister Joseph Wu was interviewed recently by journalist António Saraiva Lima from #Portugal’s daily Público. He touched on the threat of authoritarianism, progress in Taiwan-US relations, the reciprocal establishment of representative offices with #Lithuania and #Taiwan’s efforts to control the #COVID19 pandemic, among other topics.
On the threat to the regional status quo, Minister Wu stated: "Taiwan will do its utmost to maintain the status quo in the Taiwan Strait and continue to raise our defensive capabilities."
